i wonder at what point exactly
speeding become reckless driving
my dad told me it's 30 miles an hour
over the speed limit
but that’s crazy talk
30 miles over the limit is hardly reckless
unless you’re blind
and my dad does it all the time anyway
and he’s only blind in the legal sense
but what if you were going 110 miles an hour
down an alley
or on a bike path
and you got pulled over
i’m wonder if they give you a ticket for that
or if the officer just tears up your license right there
he just walks up and stares at you for a second
doesn’t say anything
then he takes your license and just snaps it in to
and throws it at you
and says you won’t be needing it ever again
or maybe he just walks up and when you roll down your window
he slaps you
and then leaves
or he asks you to pop your hood
and then he starts pulling out all the wires and gears and stuff
and then pees into your engine
or if he’s a big cop
maybe he rolls your car into a ditch
and calls it even
i suppose it’s just one of those things
that you never know about until it happens
like dying or seeing santa naked
but all this talk makes me worried
and so do those lights flashing in my mirror
maybe i should slow down a bit
to at least 90
and maybe put all these crack vials
back in the glove compartment
