We've got a new roommate... the 11th person to live at the house since I moved into it three years ago. So the newest characters are Sean, who moved in in June to replace Scooter, and Natalie, who moved in last week to replace Erin. Just in case you were wondering.
Our adventures on Craigslist were not nearly so interesting this time, with a less-than-usual ratio of freaks-to-normals. We did, however, have a couple of interest.
- A married couple who wanted to move into the smallest room in our house and split the rent. I'm not sure if this would have been sadder for them, to have to live in a four-bedroom house with three strangers after marriage, or for us, to not be able to do any better. Probably sadder for them.
- A 47-year-old guy who emailed us a picture to back up his claim that "he TOTALLY doesn't look 47." True, he didn't look 47. That doesn't change the fact that he IS 47.
- A 16-year-old girl, who goes to one of the local high schools at which I tutor, who wanted to move in with us, three mid-20's guys. No part of this was OK.
